To be fed up with all the name-calling and general nastiness on here lately? Can we have a NICE thread please?

My MN usage has seriously declined over the last couple of weeks because of all the name-calling, intolerance, prejudice and nastiness on many posts.

This is leaving me with too much spare time, driving me to contemplate housework Shock

So I would like to start a thread where posters can only say something positive, encouraging, pleasant and just generally nice about anyone or anything.

My retired NDNs have the most beautiful garden. They also feed the birds so when I look out of my bedroom window every single morning I see flowers, shrubs and birds of all kinds. They're also very kind and when my fence blew down a few years ago they didn't my dog sniffing around their garden one bit.

I do like this thread.
There are bluebirds fluttering around me as I read it.

My gorgeous 6 year old DD wrote me a letter that says "Mama is the best Mom in the whole world. She is perfect just as she is. She is beautiful".
It has made my week, especially as I definitely do not feel like that most of the time!

Both eyes now done and I am specs free except for reading, fit to drive, and in a new world of bright clear colours. A medical miracle.

And now for the icing on the cake. DW's brother drove me home from the aftercare appointment this evening and confirmed - what DW and I had guessed - that he is going to be a grandfather again, which for two sentimental old softies like DW and me is just wonderful - mild envy, this will be his third and we have none, overwhelmed by glee!

My dog keeps wiping his face on the sofa once he's eaten his dinner. I should be annoyed but it's so funny and cute Grin

One of my best friends has booked her wedding and I've only got just over a year till my other best friend gets married and I am chief bridesmaid so that's very exciting. Two new dresses!Wink

Andrewofgg, glad your ops are all done now and you're doing so well.
FairyDog, my dog does that, too: I feel I should put a serviette for him next to his bowl.

FairyDogMother11 · 14/07/2016 22:41

pippin I'm glad it isn't just mine, I've always had dogs but never known one to do it! Then again if I put a serviette next to his bowl he'd probably eat that too haha!
