To ask what happens when you scrape your car?

I have just got home and scraped my car on the way onto the drive. Not my drive, long story - just got the angle wrong. Not been drinking at all. Do insurance cover it? No one else involved, just my own stupidity,

Thanks very much for your advice. Just came back to say I have had a quote for £350 so really not worth going through the insurance and it could have been a lot worse.

I got a scratch down the full length of the car from driving through a car park entry barrier. Oops. I shopped around for the best quote and didn't go through insurance. The body shop my car dealer recommended quoted £500 but had an equally good job done for £250. So get several quotes.

£350 sounds like a decent quote flossy.

You don't get much in terms of car repair for that price. Def. not worth going through insurance. Repair workshops often hike the price up for insurance jobs!

Is that at a garage? I have a mobile chap who comes and does bodywork repairs on the drive. He's bloody fantastic and get rid of all scuffs, scratches etc at a fraction of the price of a garage.
