Every car journey with my husband is filled with a non-stop rant about the traffic. I have pointed out that we are in a car and therefore are the traffic but he seems to expect the streets to be cleared, as if for a Presidential cavalcade, before he sweeps, unhindered, to B&Q. I've heard it thousands of times and am starting to fantasise about pushing him out of a moving vehicle.

I love this thread. My dh is exactly the same, huffing and puffing, muttering about why everyone needs to be on the road, how our city is a disgrace for traffic true

I just switch off now. And he hates my driving but that's just as well because I love being a passenger, especially pre ds when I could read or mumsnet

DH appears to have stopped driving Hmm
We went out for family lunch today. I locked up, shut windows, checked dogs water, checked for keys and noticed everyone sitting in the car inc. DH in passenger seat. He then dozed.

My DH makes the occasional comment about which route to take, but uses the opportunity to read a book and lets me get on with the driving. DS normally sits in the front with me.

Reminds me to stop at red lights and also says 'turn left' into the street our flat is on, in case I didn't know... If my sense of direction is that bad (and to be fair, it is) maybe give me useful directions when I actually need them!

I've had no points on my licence. No accidents.

DH has had 9points, don't know how many bumps......

But he tries to tell me how to drive.
