To expect that if you advertise Prime Day, it should involve numbers?

Just looked up a book on Amazon to see it plastered with adverts for Prime Day. I got all excited, and imagined it might include talks / reviews of interesting books on numbers / cryptography / who knows.

Humph.

12/29. It's a Sophie Germain prime (a prime p such that 2p+1 is prime as well) and Sophie Germain is very cool and everyone should know more about her, it's reversible (9221 is prime as well), it's a twin prime (1231 is prime as well) and the few days before New Year are dull and could do with cheering up.

Or should be about Optimus Prime, with mandatory viewing of the 1986 animated Transformers movie.

Pretty much every day in my house if my 6yo has his way. [sigh]

Op, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw it too!

Neckgard, thank you so much for the Sophie Germain link, I didn't know about her or Sophie Germain primes.
