Boris looks so relieved

What if Gove was asked to help Boris out, by saving him from the prospect of being PM ? From his appearance after the Brexit results, Boris looked rather overwhelmed at the prospect of being PM and having to clear up the mess he had contributed towards ?

think that we have all been played by Darce / Murdoch given Gove / Vines history
Yy this.
Tbh they aren't even pretending that isn't the case. Vine's email makes it clear Dacre/Murdoch didn't want Boris. The only duplicitous part is them pretending Gove wants to stand.

I wish the millions signing the 'let's ignore Brexit' petition had called for a general election instead.

They're all horrible people, yes. And they can all do horrible damage to the country, most especially the poor in this country (though middle income people will start to feel very poor once they have to pay for private healthcare and supplementary education - as a parent of a disabled child whose needs are no longer met fully by the NHS, I can attest) in the four years before the next election.

Not seeing evidence that anyone in Labour is capable of offering a viable alternative, either. Let's hope someone comes through the ranks soon, in either party, who isn't useless, mendacious, callous, or some combination of the above.

Have found this petition asking for a general election:

Boris resting his head on a Policeman's shoulder - Daily Mirror front page- Priceless, just brilliant

There is something so ghastly about that picture, so vulnerable, so odd, so repulsive and almost - endearing Shock

sorry but this is what people happily gloss over - forgetting the POOR have already been totally shat on by Blair.

Frank field - vote leave for the poor, find compassion.

greatscott81 · 01/07/2016 21:13

He wasn't relieved, he was royally pissed off that he had just been shot in the foot (as we all have been now) - don't you read the news??

RosesareSublime · 01/07/2016 21:14

Anyone who thinks any of this debacle is democracy in action is deluded. It was an experiment that went wrong and the only person that will win out of this is the media

Are you seriously trying to attest that the EU is a beacon of democracy?

LarrytheCucumber · 01/07/2016 21:17

I think Boris and Gove cooked it up over supper in one of their kitchens.

RosesareSublime · 01/07/2016 21:20

If they did you can bet one of their journo relis would have told us all about it. Grin

greatscott81 · 01/07/2016 21:21

RosesareSublime - Actually, the EU has protected people since WWII. It has ensured safety, price stability for farmers (and I know a lot of farmers and they all voted remain) not to mention the billions of pounds it has flooded into our economy . . .

greatscott81 · 01/07/2016 21:28

Ridiculous. Sadly Boris would have made an excellent PM

GiddyGiddyGoat · 01/07/2016 21:49

HA HA HA!

greatscott81 · 01/07/2016 21:54

GiddyGiddyGoat - was that aimed at me? If so, please let me know what you find so amusing.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 01/07/2016 22:03

I think you know exactly what I meant - I wrote Ha Ha Ha because, to me, the idea Of Boris making a good PM is, indeed laughable.
But it was better perhaps when I didn't have to spell it out quite so painstakingly...
