to lighten to tone on mn at the minute

My DP is out and there's no wine in the house the little ones in the bath before bed and DP just rang for a chat, I mentioned there's no wine and I fancied a glass. 20 minutes later there's a knock on the door there's DP with my favourite bottle of wine AND it was cold.

AIBU to think my DP is amazing right now GrinWine

My DH came with me to a party today where he knew no one so that he could supervise children while I caught up with some old friends. He also drove so I could have a couple of drinks. He's exhausted!

Marmalade85 · 25/06/2016 19:19

My DP is currently freezing my verruca while sitting on the couch.

OneLongDay · 25/06/2016 19:21

marmalade he had his key but because mine was in the door from the inside he couldn't open it BlushGrin

My DP ordered me out of the house this morning so he could nest for me. I'm being induced on monday and the only nesting I've done has been on the sofa whilst I watch orange is the new black Grin

House is all clean and tidy, crib is up and he's doing Chinese for tea... i managed to bag one of the good ones clearly!

AdoraKiora · 25/06/2016 19:24

Thats true romance, Marmalade Grin

My DH just gave me a 90 minute back massage. In fairness, it was his penance for forcing me to watch the football. Controlling bastard.

WreckingBallsInsideMyHead · 25/06/2016 19:25

Yanbu at all how lovely!

Liiinoo · 25/06/2016 19:26

He sounds lovely OP.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 19:35

I know someone who dumped a bloke for making her a coffee every morning because it's controlling behaviour, she might have wanted tea.

Never seen her drink tea.

featherpillow · 25/06/2016 19:38

Lovely to read this thread.

Roobix04 · 25/06/2016 19:41

My dp is usually lovely. He and dd are both very tired today so loveliness seems to have escaped them both Hmm
Enjoying reading a happy thread today though!

velourvoyageur · 25/06/2016 19:42

awww Grin
I think he fancies you OP
enjoy! Grin

JellyBellyKelly · 25/06/2016 19:44

Bullet... I'd normally have snorted too, honestly! Grin

coco1810 · 25/06/2016 20:55

My DP has just come home with a load of clothes for me and DC for our holidays. He's a good one (plus I get 20% discount in his store!) ❤

Captainkanga · 25/06/2016 21:00

My husband sent me out for lunch with my sister today and by the time I had got home he had put together all of our baby's nursery furniture as a surprise for me because I've had a rough week in work. He'd put a little card in the cot from the bump saying "mummy I love you"

Cheesy but made me cry my eyes out!

SquinkiesRule · 25/06/2016 21:05

My Dh is lying across a big armchair, one arm on his head, remote in the other hand, legs akimbo wearing shorts what a sight! Have some dignity man.
He is usually a treasure, but he's full of cold, and we all know what man flu is like.

Thunderblunder · 25/06/2016 21:05

My DH has given up the tv for the evening so I can watch the boxing. He didn't even complain when he realised it was costing us£16.95 for the privilege.

Shitonyoursofa · 25/06/2016 21:08

Mine took great pride in cleaning out the cupboard under the stairs this morning, and categorising all our DVDs. 12 hours later he's still really pleased with himself!

HeckyWithTheGoodBear · 25/06/2016 21:10

My friends have all gone out tonight, I didn't go as I'm skint and not feeling 100%. DP came home to get ready to go watch the boxing with the boys. I said I felt a bit better but a little bit lonely. He said he would go to the shop for prosecco and beers and watch it with me instead Smile

StarkintheSouth · 25/06/2016 21:20

onelongday he sounds great. What a sweetheart.

ImperialBlether · 26/06/2016 11:08

JellyBelly, of course I was joking! Do you think I'd seriously recommend Women's Aid because a husband bought his wife a glass of wine?

JellyBellyKelly · 26/06/2016 11:36

I can't commend on what you'd recommend, Imperial. What I can say (as I touched upon on my first reply to this thread) is that I've seen stranger things on this site over the last few days.... Grin

My lovely dp is currently making me my favourite lunch, left over curry from the takeaway and a tandoori roti to be used as a spoon. He might even make me a coffee after.

After the machine is finished hel hang out the washing (his washing)

When he then sits down il tell him you can play your game on the big tv if you want at which point his eyes will light up and il be invisible for 2 hours, until my next coffee request. Grin

NeedACleverNN · 26/06/2016 12:47

We went out last night for the first time in months. Got bladdered. I woke up tired but ok

Dh is hanging terribly. He still got up with the kids and let me sleep and insisted I go upstairs and relax with a DVD whilst he cleans the house and does the child care. I really do love him
