Hi, I'm so excited to join this website. We have been trying since January, but haven't had much luck. I've only been doing 'cheap' tests; I haven't ever needed to use something a bit better, as I've never had a positive result. My partner thinks it's too faint to be a definite yes...

Whether it's a "cheap" test or not is pretty meaningless.

It's a v sensitive test- if the hormone is there you will get a positive result whether it's a cheap dipstick or one of those 20 quid Clearblue rip offs.

GP surgeries, A&E etc all use those strips you dip in urine.

Definitely. I had a faint line that DH said wasn't a line, that was a real tip towards the light and squint job. Was definitely a line though as she's 5 now. Congratulations .

Yes yes definitely positive - congratulations! As everyone else has said, my first faint line is now a noisy 4 year old, and my second squinted is due in 13 days.

Yep, congratulations OP! My first test was even fainter than that, and I'm 26 weeks pregnant now with a wriggly baby .

Congratulations My test with DS2 was fainter than that. He's currently asleep on my boob.
