What kind of monster leaves this in the cupboard?

They came to stay for a few days 5 weeks ago. And are still here. I think I need to perform a (very violent) exorcism. He is clearly possessed by some evil demon.

5 weeks!

How does a few days turn into 5 weeks?

Oakmaiden · 22/06/2016 20:48

He made rock buns with DD but then scoffed all but 1 himself. Poor kid didn't get a look in, they were gone in 36 hours.

Sorry - you've lost me. How did freshly baked rock cakes manage to last 36 hours? They are lucky to last 6 in my house...

Yes like the photocopier with a paper jam. Grrrr. Our shared printer is miles (slight exaggeration) from my desk. Get there to print one single sheet of paper, to then spend 15 mins almost dismantling the whole printer to find the paper jam, that the selfish user before me left for the next person.

It's to do with a house purchase. But they do it every year. It's better than the year they came for a couple of weeks and stayed for 12.

My dad used to always eat it from the middle donut looked like a totally full jar. You open it and there was just a thin layer round the outside.

Used to drive me insane

Jayfee · 22/06/2016 20:56

No no...two types of photocopy users... those who can fix them and those like me who sneak away in shame when it jams. Us inferiors!

LuluJakey1 · 22/06/2016 21:05

You could leave a jar of Nutella with me and it would be absolutely safe. It is one of the few things I can't stand. It makes me feel nauseous- the texture, the feel of it in my mouth, the taste.

You all need this in your life Grin

Ok I'll bite. Red velvet cake, I don't get it. Isn't it just Victoria sponge with red food colouring?

More the tub lock than the ice cream (and yes, I've never quite seen the fuss about red velvet cake)

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 22/06/2016 21:37

Oooooo I just realised it was the padlock. Where do I get me one of THOSE?

you know B&Jcartons are just cardboard....you could easily slice that carton right through and eat the icey creamy goodness right from the carton.

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 22/06/2016 22:00

In this house it would make an important statement

I don't get red velvet cake either. Me and Dd were talking about it the other day.

The Ben and Jerry lock would be OK for jars. But I would just cut the other end off if it was on a Ben and jerrys tub! Grin

rwilkinson84 · 23/06/2016 09:12

Some men just want to watch the world burn…

That would drive me up the wall! Love the lock thing above for ice-cream…any ideas where I can get one to keep my FI away from my treats??

Spring2016 · 23/06/2016 09:28

Red Velvet Cake started out as chocolate cake, devils food cake I believe. The red colour was caused by a reaction of Dutch cocoa and another ingredient when combined, in the recipe, years ago. Now the cocoa is differant, and the red colour doesn't occur, so people use beet juice or some type of red food colouring.

Ahh, but Jayfee, usually if you yell out someone will be happy to help - plus it gives them the option to decline/put it off 10 mins, rather than having to do it while trying to get a report done.

I seem to spend half my work life fixing ours. Grin

I need to get one of those padlocks, though!
And I did go through a phase of hoarding emergency loo roll, as we'd go from having a huge pack to none in no time at all, and you wouldn't realise until you were desperate for a wee!
