To wonder what people DO like to see on FB?

What do people like / want to see on the book of face??

I love hearing about friends near & far lives, and if nobody posted anything through fear of offending / pudding people off, surely it wouldn't exist?

Pudding people - probs another way to annoy people.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. If you're such a narcissist that you have to constantly self promote to an audience of zero you need a big slap.

I like to see pictures of people's travels and happy occasions. I can even cope with the occasional selfie.

On the other hand, I don't want to see pictures of people's food, or to be told how how to think/vote. And passive-aggressive cryptic updates irritate me.

Facebook winds me up at times, so I don't spend a lot of time on it, but for me, the good outweighs the bad.

Just pics/videos of cats thank you.

I have a lot of friends who share a hobby and post pictures related to this, as well as a lot who are academically involved in an area of interest of mine who share thoughts on links related to developments in the area. I also like to see particularly nice thoughtful posts about people's lives or see reactions to life changes. I don't like vague booking, endless requests to promote business ventures and when people post selfies or kiddy pictures very regularly. Once a month people are entertaining. Everyday posters are usually not.

I don't mind what people share on FB. If it makes me a little eye-rolly I just scroll past. I actually like seeing what people are doing it find interesting etc.
Having said that, I don't like anything graphic or anti-muslim/refugees/anything-not-exclusively-British. I am very anti-hatred of entire groups of humanity!

I've resolved to post whatever the fuck I want. If people don't like it, they can hide my updates.

I rarely post anything personal apart from mile stone moments. I post a lot of political stuff, no to tell people what to do but to share insights I found interesting.

If someone has a problem whith that, it's their problem - not mine.

If the people on your friends list piss you off, either unfriend, unfollow or deactivate.
As for adverts, hide them. The spammers, block them.
There's nothing to whinge about really.

I like:
photos of events and holidays (preferably with people in, not just scenery)
sharing articles they found interesting
updates about their lives. whether thats a kids birthday or a play they went to see and enjoyed or anything else

Basically anything that might come up in a normal conversation! So a picture of a particularly exciting meal you cooked or ate is fine, pictures of pasta every day is not. A kid achieving something big is fine, every tiny thing they do would irritate me.

A mention of a new business is fine, endless pushing to buy stuff is not.

I like seeing pictures and reading about what my family and friends are up to. That way I am more "in touch" than I would be otherwise.

I'm one of those odd MNers who doesn't mind what people post on their own Facebook bit of a forward thinker though.
I like to see where people have been, how they are getting on day to day and some comic posts are nice too.

I don't like people posting lots of stuff on my page as it clogs it up especially game requests.

Kittens, squirrels, koalas and flowers

I like:

• updates (engagements, weddings, babies, new jobs).
• holiday photos.
• sharing interesting articles.
• news/ offers from local, independent businesses.
• anecdotes/ stories about funny incidents.

I do not like:

• spamming by MLMs/ being added to MLM groups without being asked.
• people who share anything about Britain first (they get deleted instantly).
• vaguebooking: "sometimes it takes a really crap day to make you realise who your friends are". Loads of people pile in to ask if they're OK- they either don't respond or put "I'll PM you, I don't want to post it here".
• people who upload zillions of photos of their children. It's personal choice but it makes me cringe for the teenage version of that child when the millionth photo of hem having a tantrum/ wearing nothing but a nappy gets uploaded.
• anything with the hashtag #blessed.

I very rarely read my facebook feed and just tend to look at my messages and alerts. However I really like seeing pics of my friends' kids (and I don't even have any myself!) it's nice to see how they're growing up. If I'm bored I tend to look through their photos.

I love the stuff that pisses me off.

I like seeing people's photos - their kids, their holidays, their parents wedding anniversaries etc. They're my friends, I like them, some I even love so I like having a look at what's important to them. If it's 4 billion photos then I just scroll past them, it takes less than a second and I'm faffing about on FB anyway, I reckon I have the time for a quick scroll.

I'm not as fussed on holiday scenery type photos, one or two is ok but I'm really not that interested in the sixth photo of a canal. I could also live without animal photos for the same reason. A cat's a cat, unless that funny phrase is actually coming out of the animals mouth - meh.

I know all of my FB friends to talk to in real life, some I haven't physically met but I know them from MN when we were on a pre and post natal club - the kids are now in school and I love hearing how they're doing and having a nosy at how big they've got.

I like to see funny things/ photos. I love seeing holiday pictures as long as it's scenery/ places rather than just drunken people ! I hate people bragging, listing their kids GCSE or SATS results, detailing every pound they have lost week by week at slimming world etc. I can't believe some of the trouble that facebook posts cause and how some people just detail every bit of thier lives as if everyone needs to know all their problems/ rows/ divorce plans.

Isn't that what it was invented for? For us to stalk our first loves?

If they are still in possession of hair, teeth and not wearing Ingerlund shirts or showing off their builder's arse as they pose next to the barbecue, all the better.

If they are showing off any of the above and they made you cry, then they are still worth looking at so you can give them the finger and show how you moved onwards and upwards.

I like facebook but I only have sensible people, people I love and people that know how to use facebook properly on my facebook.

It's not beamed straight to my retina or broadcast constantly on my livingroom wall so I cannot muster up the energy to give a shit if something mildly annoys me.

I don't get the facebook angst. I think for some people it's becoming cool to not like facebook.

I came off Facebook ages ago, don't miss it in the slightest, it's full of attention seeking crap!

I'm mostly in it for the game of thrones fan theories and reading arguments around hot topics (such as breastfeeding in public) on articles.

I'm going to go a step further. I don't like:

1. exercise updates
2. school reports
3. GoFundMe for your wedding/car/tattoo/dog's surgery
4. Posts aimed at your family - 'oh my wonderful hubby wubby' etc - they're sitting next to you
5. Anti-immigration bollocks
6. Humblebrags
7. Passive aggressive digs with no named target
8. Aggressive attacks with a named target
9. 'Everything is terrible.' 'What's up?' 'Inbox me hun.'
