To think GoT trumps football tonight?

I already have to ignore the Internet all day on a Monday as Game of Thrones airs in the middle of Sunday night and I have ds4 with me all day.

DH got home a minute ago and I said, oooh Game of Thrones tonight! He said, yeah, after the football.

That won't finish until gone ten. I'll be asleep by then!

WIBU to make him watch the football on the laptop in another room so I can catch up with GoT as soon as ds2 is in bed?

YANBU. I think it might have been the best episode of Game of Thrones ever.

PROBLEM SOLVED

DH is going to take ds2 out of the way upstairs and bath him/play in his bedroom as soon as we've eaten. I can watch GoT in peace and then he can have the football on later.

(Starts counting down to dinner, it's ready in twenty minutes...)

Dh and ds are both nuts about football, I tolerate it when it's a big match.

We have a decent TV in our bedroom so there's no arguing when football is on and I really want to watch something else like Got. I generally dissappear upstairs with snacks to watch in peace and comfort while dh watches footy with ds.

Normally I'd say football but it's the penultimate episode and apparently it's awesome.

Vote for GOT

Dh and I have just been arguing debating this via text message.

He wants to watch the football and I'm not to watch GoT without him cos he watches it too.

We're at a kind of stalemate which I intend to win

It's on now. Shush. Grin

If you are watching Wales then it should take preference over GoT. And if its England then Shrek is not playing so it should be OK.

Clandestino · 20/06/2016 19:27

In our house it's actually me who watches the Euro 16 more than DH. We would often sit together and discuss the game unless it's one of our favourites, then we're cheering Grin

Dh thinks his football comes first and we can wait for Got as we both watch it.......ha! Watched earlier whilst babe was napping......and I'm not telling Wink

Em Football is live real life GOT is a telly programme (brilliant though it is). Glad you have found a solution Grin

I asked dh what we were doing about football v Got. He replied, first half of the football then Got, then football highlights! Sometimes we think alike! Smile
