To think the honours system is rotten

Just that really. No im not jealous, I'd never accept one if I was offered it. Yes a few people that have done a lot of charity get them. But mostly it seems to be civil servants get them for just doing their job. Or business people with very unscrupulous practices.

With the exception of local people and charity workers who probably deserve their OBEs, IMO the honours system is now meaningless. I would not use the title of a political or millionaire 'luvvy' and they can complain all they like - as they will, because these things are handed out like sweets.

Anyone notice how Blair has no title? I don't think that's his choice, so he must have at least one enemy...?

Yeah true. He wasn't invited to Wills and Kate's wedding either. I don't think the Royals appreciated his intervention during Princess Diana's death. That's my theory.Smile
