To refuse to pay my BT bill?

Our BT service is shocking.

Internet often doesn't work or is very slow.

It's difficult to get through to advisers.

I have been getting charged almost double what I should be charged as they have said I keep going over my broadband limit Hmm......

I don't use a lot of Internet but my bills are increasing every month.

I have just had £50 taken out of my account.

Would I be unreasonable to do a chargeback via my bank then cancel the direct debit to BT?

I am happy to go to court with this.

I had similar issues OP, in the end I googled the CEO and emailed him. After that, everything got dealt with promptly & efficiently.

Yep anybody with problems with BT, contact the chief exec's office. I used to work for BT and when something was passed back from there it was always dealt with promptly funnily enough. I prided myself on good customer service but unfortunately decent advisors were few and far between. This is because there were so many ridiculous targets to meet and performance plans if you didn't, that most people were solely concerned with sales and keeping managers off their backs, rather than spending time resolving issues for customers. Horrible place to work and I would never give them my business.

Glad you got sorted op. Must say I'm surprised at the negative posts about BT. I've been with them for about 15 years across several addresses and they've been fantastic. Maybe its a regional thing?
