Leaving husband looking after his own kids!

So AIBU leaving my husband to look after the kids whilst I go out. He is so peeved coz the football is on and he doesn't do kids at the best of times. I know he was hoping would cancel and stay in. Apparently I am being very unfair to him as I know he can't cope and I don't seem to worry. This is the first time I have stood up to him and told him he has to look after his own kids for one night!!

Dry your eyes princess and get on with it would be my response.

limon · 11/06/2016 19:00

What. The. Fuck. He's a knob.

MaudGonneMad · 11/06/2016 19:01

he doesn't do kids at the best of times.

Says it all. What a waste of space as a father.

NadiaWadia · 11/06/2016 19:02

He 'doesn't do kids'? Wow.

CrazyDuchess · 11/06/2016 19:02

YANBU - how old are the kids?? (Not that this will make a blind bit of difference to my response)

OhMyGoddess · 11/06/2016 19:02

Of course you're not unreasonable to leave a parent with his kids. What an arse.

FeckinCrutches · 11/06/2016 19:03

He doesn't 'do' kids? How old are they?? What an utter waste of space. Tell him you don't 'do' husbands anymore and get rid.

MurphysChild · 11/06/2016 19:04

Of course he can cope.

MurphysChild · 11/06/2016 19:04

Enjoy your night out!

MrsMook · 11/06/2016 19:04

Why did he agree to having children???

He is a parent. Looking after his children is part of his responsibilities.

He 'doesn't do kids' what a fucking waste of space. Why did he have multiple?

EveryoneElsesMumSaidYes · 11/06/2016 19:07

What BamBam said.
What a tool

Hulababy · 11/06/2016 19:08

and how sad for the children that their dad doesn't want to spend time with them on his own.

DD has always adored having time with her dad, on their own. Even now, at 14y and a teen she loves it. I can't imagine what it must be like to have such a disinterested dad.

peppajay · 11/06/2016 19:09

I think he hopes that they will sit quietly but as they relish in his attention as he gives them very little I know they will play him up and it will all end in tears.

He sounds awful.

VestalVirgin · 11/06/2016 19:10

Do you think they'll just have a TV dinner and watch the football?

This is probably what will happen, but that's not a reason to stay home. The children will survive.
(Unless they're three month old twins, or something, but I gather they're already weaned.)

underrugsswept · 11/06/2016 19:11

Book a hotel and make a night of it!
