AIBU worry about my DS sleeping on the floor

My STB 4yr old has decided tonight to sleep on the floor next to his bed, he's taken his pillows and duvet and is fast asleep now

he's done this once or twice before, he gets quite hot at night and I wonder if he feels a bit cooler on the floor? Or if it's just a novelty? In the past I've put him back on his bed when I've got to sleep, but this seems to confuse him a bit and he's woken up in the night upset and come to my room

It doesn't feel right to let him sleep on the floor? But should I just let him if it's not very often, just make sure it doesn't become a habit? Or will it cause him problems sleeping on the floor? Aches and pains type things? Confused

bikerunski I must admit I had my heart in my mouth until I realised your typo! Very pleased that's what it was Flowers

It's actually really quite nice to hear about everyone's DCs little quirks!

I kind of wish I had enough room in my bedroom to get down on the floor and see what all the fuss is about! :)

DS1 used to do this, I'd often find him asleep on the floor wrapped up in a duvet. He's outgrown it now, but can still sleep anywhere.

My DS used to do this regularly at a similar age. I'd pop in his room to check on him and he'd be lay on a sheet on the floor with a pillow and sleeping bag. He always slept really well. He also overheats easily and found it cooler on the floor

Every other night my toddler is on the floor but snugged in a blanket... At first I kept putting him back in bed but he'd get back on the floor Grin I just leave him to it now.

My DD used to do this. She never really got the hang of being in a bed once I moved her from the cot; she was always slipping down and eventually, just cut out the middle man and lay on the floor. She's now 15 and, like most teenagers, has a close bond with her bed. Grin
