To think that nappies should be capable of actually catching and containing shit?

Seriously. Not a day goes by when we do not have a PRI (poo related incident). Nappies are not a fashion statement, nor are they worn for comfort like my giant faded unsexy cystitis/husband repelling cottons, I buy them to serve a purpose. And they fail. Daily.

I'm not even talking giant, volcanic explosions of shit. Even delicate little wet farts find a way of escaping. I'm sure my DCs ability to shit doesn't defy gravity, so why does the nappy lead me to believe she can fire out upwards.

Wtf? AIBU or am I missing a trick here?

adagio that's really quite a bargain. You're right, it's all about the long term savings.

OP Google your location and "nappy library" and see if you have a local one. They'll hire you a mixed kit. Lots of different brands and styles. And instructions! That way you can see what you like and what works for you.

Just read a couple of folk talking about flushable liners - unless you are using toilet paper as the liner they are not flushable ...

Thanks for the suggestion of the little lamb bits. I think if we still have lots of PRIs once she's taking more solids then I will need to switch to cloth. Does seem pricey but like PPs have said, guess its a long term investment. I'm gonna check if there's a nappy library nearbySmile- good old MN. My brain is so frazzled with this mothering business that my ability to problem solve seems to have disappeared! Thank you all

Please please use a nappy library.
Alternatively, second hand size one little lambs cost £2-2.50 Preloved each so you could get 8 very easily on Facebook selling sites. Wraps (medium rikki or airflow motherease) about £3 Preloved or size one little lambs a similar price. Please don't buy brand new!
