To let ds1 dye his hair blue?

He's 13. He's off to scout camp tomorrow and some of his peers have dared him to. I said we can go to Tesco and see what they have available but I think they might only have permanent stuff.

His hair is shoulder length and he says if it comes to it he'll grow it out a bit and then cut it short.

School stipulates natural colours only but the dye I'm thinking of is a blue/black and the blue tone fades quite quickly. So he might end up with short hair with black ends and mousey roots.

What do you reckon? Would this be appalling parenting?

There are a few weeds on your patio that need seeing to.

Ah bugger! It's barely worked. Gutted for him. There's a faint tinge in the sunshine.

In the summer I might let him bleach it and do it properly.
