I'll start with mine (DH's actually to give him his dues) - a ball from the pound shop - hours of hands-free parenting both of in the park and our small back yard.
Yours?

This thread's making me a bit emotional...
The best 99p I ever spent on the kids bought us the soft toy that has been DS' companion for 9.5 years now.
He's looking a bit worse for wear but is still going strong. He used to go everywhere with us but is now to be found on DS' pillow, waiting for him at the end of every day.

I might have something in my eye...

Best £1 spent in the pound shop was definitely a pack of plastic dinosaurs, played with every week if not everyday by my 3 youngest, the dinosaurs have had so many adventures including being frozen in ice once so they could pretend they were climbing Everest Grin
Best 20p ever was at a boot sale where my now 8 year old spotted a cuddly toy he wanted, (then 2) he hasn't slept without it since, and still loves it. He has a mass of cuddly toys but this is the important one.

Mini blow up paddling pool from the pound shop. Dd loves water. I got 3 of them (so I know not £1!) and in summer when I can't be bothered with the faff of her big paddling pool they are filled with a bucket of warm water each and she loves running between them. In winter I put her waterproof dungarees and wellies on and she goes out and stamps in them for as long as I let her. And no punctures, unlike the larger £40 editions we've flown through Hmm

49p dog in the bargain bucket in the charity shop.
It's been her constant companion for 18 months.
