To wonder how I can be allergic to every suncream out there?

So yet again I find myself having a bad allergic reaction to yet another suncream- this time Nivea. I've tried Boots's own, Tesco's own, Piz Buin- all caused a awful rash.

Am I doomed to a skin reaction once every summer or having to wear a sweatshirt in the middle of summer to stop burning?? :(

Seconding oil based as a suggestion, but only if you can try it without forking out first. I'm not allergic to anything in particular but can get a bit itchy when covering my face with something at times. But I don't get anything like that with P20. It seems pricey, but 1 application is usually good for something like 10 hours unless you're in and out of the water all the time. It can stain your clothes though :(
My DSis otoh has really sensitive skin, and used to come out with terrible flare-ups. Turns out it was cream-based products with lanolin and real wool clothes and scarves that was triggering it (even Sudocrem at the time!).
Good luck with the GP tomorrow :)

My son has eczema and reacted to all the major brands. I spoke with my gp and got ultrasun on prescription, and he is fine with that.
