to buy a double pushchair even though one DC is almost 4?

Currently they have a Phil & Teds one but it's on its last legs. DD is 4 next month and isn't a very good walker. She's very light at just 27lbs and likes using a pushchair. She really wants to get a side by side double so she can be next to 13 month old DD. I'm thinking of buying one rather than struggle with getting DD to walk all the time but is she too old to be in a pushchair? We are trying for DC4 so it will get more use in the future.

I wouldn't, I'd make her walk but plenty will be along in a minute saying that she's only a baby and it's nobody else's business anyway.

I think, at 4, she's too old to be in a pushchair and if she's not a good walker, perhaps she needs more practice? I don't want to be mean, but in my opinion, I don't think you're doing her any favours by encouraging her to think she's the same as a 13 month old.

Don't get me wrong, I do give in to my kids at times, so I'm not trying to tell you what to do, or that's what I'd do. I'm just saying what I think is'right'.

Get a single out and about nipper and the 4 yo can perch on the triangle foot plate. Plus you can steer with one and and use the other to hold the 4yo's hand.

Or use a buggy board.

She isn't a good walker because she has sensory issues BTW, she isn't just lazy.

I kept my double pushchair until my youngest was almost 4 and at nursery.
It was just so useful
I could get loads of shopping bags in/under it, and on days out we could all the picnic/beach/swimming things in there, and at a pinch we could squish all three of our youngest DCs in it if the walk back to the car was proving a bit much after a long day.
My youngest would ride home from nursery because it was over a mile to walk, and he wasoften tired out after being there, especially at first, and quite frankly, I knew that once we didn't use the pushchair any more, I would need a walking stick and find everything much harder mobility wise, so I hung onto it as long as I possibly could.
It's nobody else's business why or if you have a double pushchair, or how long you have it for. If anyone is rude enough to comment on it, a swift "oh do fuck off dear" or "how mice of you to be so interested in my children, do you like small children?" loudly and with a raised eyebrow should do the trick

I have another is is gone 3 and is nowhere near ready to get out of the pushchair. Sensory issues are so hard to deal with, so just do what's best for you and your family and don't worry about what other people think of you.

I love our out n about double buggy and would highly recommend :-)
