Iv been very unhappy in my job . Iv found another and had to ring my boss to advise of this as she's not in the office for the next month . I have my contact and it clearly says I have to give a week . She is aderment it's a month or 2 weeks ( not clear which she thinks ) - Iv sent her a picture of the contact and she is saying I must have the wrong one .area manager ringing tomowow I think they are going to try to avoid paying my holiday pay - which I'm due 6 mths of as taken none this year . Really need the money but don't feel strong enough to fight . Apparently area manager has huffily said if I only want to give a week leave me to it ( feel like shouting that's my contract ) but I think they are going to penalise me Sad

Right Iv written the official letter it's on the lines of
Handing my notice as of 12th may last day 18th may . Iv enclosed a copy of my contract showing I need to give one weeks notice in case of any confusion , i trust owed holiday pay will be paid pro Rata for the 6 months of this year i have worked ?
Does that sound ok ? Not clever or arsey ?

That sounds perfect x

LupoLounger · 11/05/2016 20:45

Sounds perfectly clear. No more arsey than the situation they've put you in demands. Good luck, not that you'll need it x

Perfect.

Just wanted to update and Thankyou all.
I went in having rung acas feeling confident and with my ( photo copied) contract . They seem to of backed down even managed to wish me look( didn't mean it !)
I think I will be paid right as I think for once they knew I meant it .
As someone with méntal health issues and a learning difficulty this was horrendous. You reasoned reassured and offered practical and sensible advice . May seem very little to you but this could of tipped me over as my mh isn't great at mo - Thankyou so much !!
