To buy something that i can wear again for a funeral?

I very sadly lost my beloved dad on Thursday just gone. It was very sudden, he literally fell whilst walking his dog and was 62. Naturally I am in pieces.

We don't know when the funeral is going to be but i have started to look at items for me to wear. The complicating factor is that I am 5 months pregnant. I know my dad wouldn't want me to waste money but I feel like i should have something special for his funeral. AIBU to buy something that i could wear again over the summer? maybe a black or blue wrap dress etc?

So sorry for your loss Flowers I bought a lovely dress for my mum's funeral, but I just couldn't wear it again. Same with the shirts my DCs wore. I would just get something you're comfortable in, and then see how you feel afterwards, whether you wear again, sell or just keep safe for sentimental reasons.

If you have dark maternity trousers, could you get a plain blue top, which might also be OK with maternity jeans later on?

I wonder if a special funeral dress might always remind you of the reason you bought it and you might not wear it again

I buried my auntie last month and I'm 6 months pregnant, I bought a black maternity maxi dress and plain black cardigan and have wore them plenty since. Sorry for your loss xxx
