I'm 35 ffs. My hair has been thinning since I was 17 but after 3 kids this is just ridiculous. Just washed my hair and I'm depressed as hell.

I've considered wigs, hair transplant and that weave thing but now I think I'll just go for a full on pixie to tell the fuckers with the thick luscious hair that I give up!

I'm healthy believe it or not. No issues, no medication. I take extra vitamins.

Maybe I'll just shave it off.

I've seen Dr Fenton. He has a very long waiting list if you're referred by the NHS but will expedite you if you see him privately first. I think he charged me £250 for a consultation. That was 5 years ago though.

To be honest, I think it was a waste of time (and money). He did blood tests and took a load of hair from my head then I heard nothing back from him. I had to chase for the results only to be told by his assistant that it was 'just' Androgenetic Alopecia and there's no cure.

ive just found this thread after having a good cry about my thinning hair which seems to be getting worse and i dont know why. i always had really thick hair as a child. ive been on the pill for over 15 years am i better off staying on it or coming off? should i buy minoxidil and also iron and zinc tablets? ive been taking Holland and barrett vitamins for hair and nails and using a special shampoo and conditioner that my hairdresser gave me but it just seems to be getting worse. im so worried its going to get even worser!!
