SALT Constant Deletion...WTF is this ?

SALT Report says DS 4yo "currently deletes sounds off beginning and ends of words affects his intelligibility"

More information would be helpful. I am assuming this is a common problem at this young age as the SALT didn't seem that concerned, when we spoke.

As parents you will have become used to how your ds speaks and understand him. However, others may not so you need to seek help to see if he has verbal dyspraxia or something. You should get this checked as his speech is key and he may need some additional help. If his teachers are concerned I find it strange that you are not pushing for any SALT.

Yes, guess it is easier for parents to understand their children. Thanks for your advice.

My dd is also 4. She doesn't miss sounds but does mispronounce some words. Beepunzel = Rapunzel
Correction instead of collection
Botato = potato

My older two children had grown out of this long before they were four and a friend who teaches Reception says it's unusual at her age. I'm watching and waiting and have asked for a hearing test just in case.

Just as some encouragement, DP had the same issue as a child (5) he now speaks perfectly fine, and has done for as long as he can clearly remember :)
