Music blaring. Loud voices and shouting. My kids can't sleep. I'm so annoyed

I wouldn't dream of having a large noisy party going on beyond 11:30/midnight regardless of day of the week or time of the year. After a certain time, the noise goes down and if necessary any loudness moves inside the house. We all still have fun but we don't end up annoying the neighbours and keeping their kids awake all night. I wouldn't be putting up with any screeching and shouting myself, let alone wanting to inflict it on my neighbours.

But then, most people round here seem the same, and everyone seems really considerate even when holding their own celebrations and get togethers.

Most have families or are older - only issue there has ever been has been when some of the older teens/students have come back int he summer (or what seemed to have been either 18th birthdays or after prom parties - its then the screeching and screaming loudly accompanied by the thumping bass. But tbh it doesn't get to go on long - we have a couple of police officers living nearby - its no coincidence that the louder parties get a visit if the music doesn't go down when the hour gets late.

Yanbu op a one off is okay but I've had neighbours who did regular parties until 3/4am music so loud doors banging shouting etc etc it was soul destroying. They moved in the end after two years of it. I cried with relief the day the went.
