To pronounce it as "ket-chp" not "ketch-up"

My DH thinks that I pronounce it incorrectly.

Do you say "ket-chp" all one word, the end syllable pronounced quickly and sounding a bit like a Northern "up" (oop), or do you say "ketch-up", with the end syllable almost separate and sounding like a Southern "up" and the whole word sounding a bit like "catch up"??

Tomato sauce or ketch-up.

Lahtay.

Lahtay is just an incorrect pronunciation due to someone's accent. It's pronounced la-tay
I've never heard ketchup pronounced anything other than ketch-up. Your DHs pronunciation sounds really odd.

Ketch-up.

Never red sauce. That phrase makes me want to stick a fork in the eye of whoever says it. 🍅
