Surely there's no way she thought she'd get all of that through customs. The 100ml regulation is so well known! And the exception is if you are travelling WITH the baby who will need more milk on the flight.

Yes, but she has asked for the attention.

The thing I don't understand is... what was baby being fed on whilst she was on her trip? And if she intended to come home and feed baby the rancid milk when she got home, was she then going to be in a never ending pumping cycle?

I thought this was bonkers when I read it too. If she'd put her biohazard milk into the hold as the regulations require, that would have been allowed. If she'd had a baby with her that would need feeding during the flight, then yes, bring a bit of milk to keep him going on the flight.

But 500oz of milk for a baby that isn't even there is downright bizarre and I'm not surprised they were a bit suspicious. Why would you even want to lug around that much as your hand luggage? That's TWO STONE of breastmilk.

Plus she keeps banging on about 'customer service' is if airport security and border protection are there for your enjoyment.

It's crap that maternity leave is so shite in the US and she's had to return to work so early, I have every sympathy with her for that. But none of this is the fault of Heathrow airport flight security.
