AIBU to think a fox cub is cute and so adoreable and maybe put out titbits

For three sundowns running we have had a fox cub come into our back garden and have a drink from our pond.
The first night we thought he was a hedgehog ambling around the garden and setting off the personal light at the back as he is about the same size. It was twilight and we got quite close (about 20ft away) before we could see it was a fox cub.
Mum fox is about but stays up the bank and not in our garden watching her cub. He seems a sturdy little fellow.
I know they are vermin. But he really is the cutest little thing with bright eyes and a bit chubby and fluffy and very alert and inquisitive.
Would it be so very wrong to leave out some chicken or cat food?

Lurking I was born and schooled in London but moved to the Dorset coast. I have been asked about my accent many times - it is a bit Essex meets Dorset!
I am sad to say that we have not seen the fox cub for some nights now. We have seen three adult foxes on the bank and I must admit I did put the grandchild's unwanted fish fingers out on the bank for the foxes last night in the hopes of seeing the cub. They were stolen by a cat!
Dh and I were puzzled that there was only one cub. I thought that the vixens would have more that one cub per litter. He was a bold little fellow so we are still hoping he is about.

Ive had a fox come inside my kitchen in broad daylight, with a 1 year old and 3 year old. No one was injured thankfully, but that's because my nanny was a formidable woman and managed to shoo it out before it reached the kids.

OP please don't feed the foxes. That's very foolish and doesn't help them in the long term.

I can't help but think your average fox is like your average cat. You feed and it will do you no harm but it will shit in your neighbours' gardens, attempt to enter their houses and terrorise their children.

and when I storm at them with my best t-rex impression they just look at me and reluctantly slink away.

I wouldn't feed them as it tampers with nature but I agree they are beautiful,
they play their part in keeping other wildlife populations down, I wouldn't agree to any killings of any animals unless they were really detrimental to the natural enviroment.
Killing your outdoor pets and a shitting in your garden is fair game.
A fox can't know an outdoor pet is owned by a human so it better not touch.Hmm

I think humans attitude to wildlife is disgusting in that we feel we are entitled to kill them because they inconvenience us.
