I REALLY want to know what is going on!

AIBU - sounds like I'm being nosey but WTAF is going on.

Live in a street, detached house but houses close together, new estate.

Last night, around 12 uniformed Police & 2 plain clothes arrive NEXT door. Outside for about 30mins no police cars/vans just a lot of radioing/phone usage.

Half the police then go round the back of said neighbours house into their garden.

Nothing, no drama in the street, no one taken out the house etc. Hour later all police disappear.

I'm just hanging around in my house now & 3 marked police vans arrive again, all get out, try and gain entry again to next door.

A. I'm a bit of a "hate this sort of thing going on outside my house etc as the police vans parked outside MY house (great!!!)

B. Jesus what is going on to warrant so many police?

C. Fuck sake!

D. Where the hell ARE my neighbours?

E. This will out me (hopefully not) but ZZ lister lives there

F. I actually hope they are ok!?

So my question is AIBU to want to know what the hell is going on????

All joking aside, am I the only one wondering if the poor children were at the house when all this commotion was going on? If so, they must be terrified.

I'd definitely offer support OP, the poor woman must be in a state/fuming

Wondering if it's SW as she's been having problems with a stalker since last year. Hope she's alright if it is her.

Oh wow, I don't think anyone should be speculating who the sleb is, imagine the turmoil they are in and then to find out it's being gossiped about on MN. I think their privacy should be respected.

I just hope all involved are ok, and as a pp said, hope the children are ok and have been shielded from whatever is going on.

I've heard the police called the Dibbles (as in Officer Dibble from Top cat). It might be a Sheffield thing.

If they haven't got him, or it's an ongoing investigation, there could be a press embargo until the operation is completed. So that might be why there is nothing in the press yet.
