AIBU to think not washing feet and groin is minging?

Was discussing personal hygiene with a few friends recently (odd I know) and I found out that none of my friends wash their feet when they shower or bath, because they feel that a soak in bubble bathy water or the suds from shampoo trickling down is adequate. I think this is minging, and physically soap each foot in every shower or bath. I thought everyone did this. I also thought everyone washed their groin with either soap, bodywash or whatever, but my friends were saying they just use water. I can understand not wanting to use perfumed stuff down there, but surely plain soap or something? I would find it so odd to have a shower without using soap on groin or feet. Am I weird or are they?

flirty you can wash your bits with aqueous cream.

flirty if it's the same spot on the outer lips and it's itchy no matter what, could it be a bartholin's cyst? I can't do links but give it a google and see if it fits. They're pretty common on the outer labia

"Smegma - shudder. It's making me rethink my favourite brand of fridge and that is for sure."
In know! I don't care how good they might be I don't want the word "Smeg" emblazoned across a fridge of mine thank you very much Grin

StrapOn, you're right about the skin swarming with good bacteria that keeps the bad at bay (competition for space, so the more good bacteria you have the less room for the bad), so overwashing isn't good. It removes all bacteria which then has to recolonise, so it's a balance between honking and having a good colony of good bacteria.

"no wonder so many men think women stink of fish"
Many women will say that if you smell of fish than you have an infection but have you ever smelt stale urine under a foreskin? I have [boak], it smells fishy and the same will happen with women. Smeg and stale urine smell revolting. When I hear of women saying they are clean for sex in the evening but haven't washed since the morning I can't help thinking how many times they've urinated throughout the day and how traces of urine will be on their skin. They can't smell it of course, unless they can get their face in their crotch, but men and women definitely need to be cautious before giving oral to each other that's all I can say.

"Im always learning new things on mumsnet, today its vaginal smegma and toe jam. Thanks"
You're most welcome FlirtygirlGrin, but it's vulval smegma not vaginal Wink [runs off before we get into a bun fight about the use of vagina instead of vulva]

Feet no. Not unless they are actually dirty like when I wear sandals. Groin only every few days in the bath or it dries me out and I scratch like a loon. Daily wash down there is just warm water. During a period all bets are off and I wouldn't put it past me to dettol my fanjo in order to feel clean. Hate periods, you always feel so grotty lol
