She is cracking gum and chewing - loudly.

Fortunately I do not have a stabbing implement.

"Yes, I really am that stupid that I don't know how the train door works"

My parents and I hail from an area where the guard operates all the the doors on trains, from either end iyswim.

I've since moved to a place with trains whose doors open with buttons that passengers press, as you describe.
My parents came to visit and took a local train one day - at their stop, they waited patiently for the door to open for them (obviously didn't notice the button, and noone else was getting off). Of course it remained closed and the train moved on. Grin The error of their ways was eventually explained to them. Grin

Mind, I can't talk. I once had to ask DH what those lines above the trains were for. Blush I'd never seen them before.

She had it coming
She had it coming
She only had herself to blame...

What would you stab her with?
I find I never have anything suitable when the urge takes me. I usually find I only have a baguette or maybe some asparagus or an iPad stylus.

Dotty do you play Buckaroo? How many things can you balance on her before she wakes up and it all falls off?
