I'm fed up with my cheap duo vacuum cleaner/floor steamer (they perform 50% of the time on both tasks) and I have concluded that I'd be happier with a seriously hardcore vacuum cleaner that can handle the constant onslaught of fuzz from our rugs and then I could buy a separate floor steamer. We have a mix of hardwood floors, rugs and carpeted floors. I would love to hear from anyone who has good recommendations. I'm overseas so Dyson is the only "British" brand that I can get. Is Dyson worth it, does that brand live up expectations?

...at least the models being recommended.

My daughter has my Henry as the bending gave me/DH backache. We have a Dyson which DH loves (2cats) I think Henry is more efficient though ...there is a reason professional cleaners use them, apart from cost .

Amazon have put the price of Henry up overnight from £87 to £99.99 :(
Still £87 at Tesco though :)

I paid £120 for mine (done) but that was a couple of years ago. I love it, don't find I have to bend over too much at all, it's got extra pole bits you can add or takeaway. I've got the pink one for in the house and the red one in the garage for the cars etc.
