To think dyson hand driers are vile...

I am surely not the only person to find the splattering of water drops that have bounced round the inside of the drier, up into my face, (see the grubby wet puddle in the bottom of the drier), abhorrent?

I love my dyson vacuum, but can't see why anyone thinks the hand driers are nice.

Another fan here. I loves these sort of driers.

I am struggling to understand how you get splashed though. This has never, ever happened to me

My dd is petrified of them. She hates how loud they are.

This research New Dyson drier most hygenic is a few years old now but seems to support the suggestion that they are more hygenic. I remember when DD went to Bradford for an Open Day they mentioned this research and how they had people handling raw chicken and so on for the trials.

Watching the loose skin on the back of my aged hands flap about is absolutely horrendous, and fascinating.

I never get to use hand dryers these days. DS1 gets hysterical at the thought of them. The only way I can get him to even go into a public toilet is to clamp my hands over his hands over his ears. Unless I've remembered to pack his ear defenders but even then I'm not allowed to dry my hands. I used to love hand dryers.

Antibac gel doesn't remove traces of piss, shit and other muck from your hands, though, Secret. Don't you think that's even nastier?

Tightywalterwhities · 18/04/2016 17:47

I love how effective they are at actually drying your hands, however I accidentally touched the side of one once and I still cringe when I think how slimy it was!

wasonthelist · 18/04/2016 17:51

I know people think I'm a tinfoil hatter, but Dyson had to fight a long and expensive legal battle with Hoover over patent infringement, and they are currently reportedly engaged in legal action over advertising with excel dryer (the xelerator) - make no mistake, competition is cut-throat and unlike us, the USA is fiercely protective of home-made products.

Don't pick on the old hand driers! The company distributing them in the UK used to belong to my dear deceased brother. He gave all of us in his family lots of hand drier derived money. I say Boo to Dyson!

FreshHorizons · 18/04/2016 18:17

I like them- they actually work. I have never been splashed.

UterusUterusGhali · 18/04/2016 18:21

They're very effective, but if I ever touched the sides I'd have to wash my hands again. Blush
Bleeee!

Antibac gel doesn't remove traces of piss, shit and other muck from your hands,

But at least it is sterile piss, shit and other muck.
