Hydroceles and undescended testicles in babies: AIBU to ask about your own experiences to help me decide whether I need to complain about my own?

Can I ask people please of their experiences with their sons being diagnosed with a hydrocele or an undescended testicle?

When it was detected and what treatment was needed? And how quickly was the treatment given?

I know it's a personal question and I know I shouldn't really compare my situation and experiences to others but I'm feeling very upset at the moment and am trying to decide whether to put a complaint in about my own experience with my DS Sad

And were the testicles all ok in your 3 boys?

The older two are fine and the hydrocele disappeared by the age of 18 months ish with no sigh of it now (10 and 8). My ds3 is only 2 weeks post surgery and still bruised (they operated down through his groin into the testicle) but his testicle is normal sized now. However, they did want me of possible risks (less than 5%) of the hydrocele returning, damage from scar and or damage to sperm tube. He will see the consultant for a follow up and I suppose I'll have to monitor for any changes- although so far it appears that surgery has worked as his testicle was huge before.
