Every bloody time- cinema related

Every time I come to the cinema (usually during the day when the kids are at school) I end up in a huge screen which is fine as there are around 300 seats and they're usually comfier.

Well why is it when there are hundreds of seats people come and sit right behind or in front of me. It happens all the bloody time and it happened again today. Sat in a huge screen (by myself) and just beofee the film started a couple walked in and sat exactly behind me rustling their bloody pop corn. Then two mins later a noisy woman comes in with her four even noises children and plonks down on the row in front exact seats to mine. I mean why? The whole place was empty so why do this. I swear people do it on purpose just to annoy others. So Aibu here? If I walked into a cinema and it was more or less empty then I wouldn't sit as close to someone else as possible, I'd give them their space.

Pinot I would have demanded a refund. You'd probably have got it too.

I have this happen too. We went to the cinema once and there were loads of empty seats. A man came and sat next to me and took over the whole armrest. Just why are some people so weird?

This happened to me in the gym last week. Two separate rows of cross trainers, about 10 on each row, only me using one. Which one did she pick? The one right next to me. WEIRDO!!!!

This is why I gave up going to the cinema years ago. Too many people messing about on their phones lighting up the place, chatting constantly, seat kickers, noisy eaters, unruly kids, etc. Fuck off the lot of you! And it's too loud. I'd rather stay home and watch films where I don't have to put up withother people. Fuckers.

I saw the new Star Wars at the IMAX. Twat to the left of me had the crunchiest popcorn in the world, twat to the right of me spent the first 10 minutes of the film explaining the whole previous 6 film story to his dopey GF.

People ato work do this in the staffroom. I can be in there totally alone eating my lunch and someone comes in with their 100 decibel apple and sits right next to me!
There are about 20 chairs to choose from!
Piss off with your crunching in my earAngry

I too hate people crunching popcorn, rustling sweet bags etc, and don't even get me started on those stinking horrible nacho cheese cartons of shite......I take sweets, but I decant them in to a plastic tub before we go a) to be respectful to people around us and b) as I'm not stupid enough to lay cinema prices for stuff.

And people who use phones/tablets in the cinema are just absolute twats.

I wish, Lost. They could add 'control your kids' to that too.

Some people just feel utterly entitled to take their kids to the cinema even if they are unable to sit reasonably quietly for more than 20 minutes. When mine were too young, or if a film wasn't to their taste, I didn't go to the cinema and waited for the dvd.

Haven't been to a cinema in years. Don't understand why folks can't survive the two hours without constantly stuffing their faces, talking, looking at their phones. Sadly lots of people don't have respect/consideration for others these days, believing they are 'entitled' to do exactly as they wish, wherever and whenever.

"This happens when I park my car in an empty car park too"

I suspect this is often because people can't park without another car there to line up next to, wasonthelist.
