AIBU?

Gogglebox Scarlett's swearing

Now I'm a sweary fucker, but I find watching her swearing sooo much to her parents quite uncomfortable to watch.

The odd word is one thing but her stream of fuckings seems disrespectful to me. Might just be because I don't swear in front of my mum, despite her language being akin to Gordon Ramsey stubbing his toe Grin

Aibu?

I think the Welsh couple are ok. At least he laughs a lot. But I'm not crazy about the new family with the beard/coloured hair as they're too sarcastic. There always has to be a bit of gleeful shrieking and hiding behind the cushions in the best episodes (or getting weepy at puppies being put to sleep) and they're just too cynical and clever.

The one couple who got on my tits were the female vicar and her husband... He wasn't so bad but she wound me up on every level.

Why does Scarlett perch on the edge of the sofa like that? She looks like she's just nipped round for something and is about to leave at any moment.

super I agree about the Vicar. As I've already said (on numerous threads) she makes me want to put my foot through the screen.

I love the Moffatts they are my favourites. Don't like the posh B&B couple, the vicar and husband or the other couple with the son who went on big brother.

Also love German dad and Stephen and Chris.

Also don't like Sandy and Sandra but love caravan couple.

I suspect Scarlett perches on the edge to see the TV properly. I read that many of them have to sit in chairs they don't normally sit in for filming purposes. I think Leon & June normally sit on the other side of the room, and there's no way Giles normally sits in that chair - he looks so uncomfortable!

I think they move furniture around to get everyone in shot - some of the rooms have the furniture laid out strangely and I think that's why

i don't mind Scarlett's swearing at all. I wouldn't swear like that in front of my own parents but presumably she knows hers don't mind

I like the vicar. She also did a really interesting programme about Judas just before Easter

I saw that programme, Hap

I find her a bit irritating on Goggle box but found her presenting skills were very good. I would watch more similar programmes with her in them....she was interesting and relaxing to view.

I think it obvious they overplay the personalities and comments on Goggle box which gets a bit wearing.

Except the Siddiquis Smile

What channel was the Judas programme on please? I'd like to see it on catch up.
I totally fancy Siddiqi Son On The Left. I like everyone on it, especially Leon.

I changed my mind about the vicar when I saw the Judas programme. She was sparky, interesting and not remotely whiney like she appears on Gogglebox.

I love Scarlett. She really makes me laugh.
Yabu about her swearing. But then I love a good swear.

Who is the family with the son on big brother?

Report
NuggetofPurestGreen · 10/04/2016 12:47

Can't remember their names Elf. There are two parents and a son in 20s. Possibly from Essex type area (am not English but that sort of accent). Son is really annoying and not funny and has squeaky voice.

Squeaky George and his mum and stepdad (Linda & Pete)?

I think Gogglebox is at the point bib brother was after the first couple of series: some of the participants have worked out that it is a short cut to z list celeb-dom and have started playing to the camera and cultivating a personality rather than reacting to each other and the programme.

Yeah the son always sits in the middle of his mum and dad.

I'm not keen on them especially the week where the son kicked off his trainer and it landed in his dad's dinner!
