To Think That Jumping in & Offering the Same Item On a Post is Rude ??

Just that really, but to clarify...

I took photos with measurements & description etc of a large item we have to give away. Then posted it on my local community noticeboard Faceache page.

Before it's definitely gone, someone else has piped up on my post with, "I have one to get rid of too if anyone wants it" & is then replying to individual people who have expressed an interest in mine.

I think it's bad mannered, DH thinks it would be if I was selling it, but as its a free item, it isn't rude

Who is right ?

Wtf Hmm

I never said anything about capital letters.
People need to read the posts a bit better. Thank you to those who have pointed it out

Oh crikey, I owe you an apology NeedsA, I just read Herecome's post and didn't check she was correct.

I'm Sorry. Yes, Herecome's made a mistake as well, it was casmama who made the original comment about capital letters.

(Thread very perfectly derailed now I think Grin)

Haha, loving the derailment Smile

Yep, all caps would be shouty - I meant first letter all caps, I just wrote that badly too [rollsyeyes]

& thanks to those who answered the original question - it's interesting how it's split

Yes, I will remove the post when it's picked up later today.

I did get 3 of replies, so as one turned out to want something similar Confused & the other 2 were both serious, no harm done, though not always the case as you often get time wasters when you advertise stuff free or cheap.

Both should get the items & ironically both prefer mine as there's a photo of it.

I still find the way the other person did it quite rude, especially them jumping on individual replies to my post & offering theirs instead, but seems it's split, so neither DH or I are wrong, just different horses, for different courses Smile
