That's it really I just want some advice on whether to do this as am in two minds. To cover me, hubby and 3 kids will cost £215 per month. I just want to know whether other mumsnetters think it's worth it ?

I have it through work but wouldn't pay for it - not having insurance doesn't mean you can't access private care, it just means that you have to pay for it.

You sound comfortably off, I would put the 200 in a savings account to use for ad hoc appointments, and if a major op is needed take a loan and use the 200 to pay that.

Yes, if it doesn't cover pre-existing conditions then I think I'd just put the money away and be prepared to use it if you need to to buy private care.

The NHS does treat things like cancer well, so I wouldn't be so worried about that. It's the less life-threatening things that you often have to wait ages for, or get bad treatment for.
