Just a quick one- need to know if I am justified in feeling so Angry - a quick yabu or yanbu is all I need!

Basically:
Live opposite a school
Parked my car opposite my house on the zig zags- it's a holiday so I (wrongly) thought this was ok
Have been fined £70.

I could have parked on the main road and walked 200m but I have one toddler with vomiting and diahorrea, 1 teething baby and we all have conjunctivitis.

Aibu?

OP posts:

The roads outside our local schools are deserted during the holidays. There are signs above the zig-zags so you can't park for an hour or so in the morning and an hour or so in the afternoon.

Why does that apply in holidays when there's no-one around?

herecomethepotatoes - I fear you're confusing OP's situation with a pedestrian crossing, to which the rule "You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines." OP's situation involves the road outside a school, with yellow zig-zags.

I presume therefore your comment of This is ALWAYS illegal and not subject to time restrictions. Which of your posts was the lie? is borne out of ignorance, and an apology to OP will follow with due haste.

There is lots going on at our local schools even in the holidays. The nearest primary has holiday and sports clubs, my DD was at a revision day at secondary yesterday.

YABU.

It sounds to me like OP parked on yellow zig zags outside school, rather than the white ones either side of a zebra crossing. Am I right?

If you're breastfeeding, breast milk in the eye every few hours will cure your conjunctivitis.
