I totally disagree.

My son is his name. He fits it, he's everything that it means.

Some names are strong, pretty, short, flowery, etc.

Oh but the nn will be "Breddy" Venus, which is just lovely IMHO

I didn't really know anything about my kids characters when they were newborns… got to know them over the years as they grew into themselves… by which point they'ld been named for years.
