Old story. Man cheats on long standing wife of similar age with much younger woman. Wife is cast aside, cue beaming pictures of Mr Cheat and Miss OW - she's given him a new lease of life, how lovely.
I'm so sick of seeing the word "upgrade" though and I'm seeing it more and more. Is it meant to be flippant? A semi-joke likening it to upgrading your phone? And it pisses me off that once again, women are reminded that they have a shelf life; they can easily be replaced by a younger model once they've reached that unappealing age of "old."
Sorry - bit of a disjointed rant - just feeling a bit sad after speaking to a friend who's going through this and seeing similar stories in the papers almost daily.
