Husband is yet again moaning there is nothing in the house to eat bloody lies just nothing he currently wants

I have told him and ds that as I am left to do the weekly shop alone often not even having help to get the fucking stuff out of the car

And of course the fact that I am not a mind reader

If they don't come with me I can take a guess and what snacks they might like in the coming week but if you choose to sit at home your pretty much going to get what I choose.

Aibu

We currently have
Fruit
5 Diffrent kinds of cereal
Crisps
Hot cross buns
Pot noodles
Hummus
Cucumber
Dip
Chorizo
Smacked sausge

That's just a few things I can think of the top of my head sitting here

Really gets my goat and I can still hear him muttering away like the cupboards are bare

We (Dad, me, sibling) always had to give two meal ideas before my mother went to do the weekly shop. There might be some adjustments according to what was available and if anything was on special offer, or Mum just didn't like making it (she did a fab meatloaf, but she didn't like it, so I was nearly always overruled on that choice.) But I think it shared the decision-making, which made things a bit easier.

YANBU
I hate this. When I do the online shop I ask if anyone has any requests, usually met with "hmmm, no can't think of anything" the shopping is delivered and then the disappointed comments begin,
"oh didn't you get any [insert name of obscure item]"

"What no raspberries?"
"No I got them last week and you asked for grapes so I got grapes"
"aww I really fancy some raspberries"

"Have we got any marmalade?"
"Yes, orange or grapefruit"
"Didn't you get lime?"

It's fucking annoying.

I used to have this problem, I put a notepad on the fridge and said if anything not on the weekly shop (tomato sauce, butter etc) needs replacing it needs writing on there, anything you fancy needs writing on there too. If it isn't on the list at x time and day then it's your own fault. If I'm doing such a bad job then I guess I should just stop shouldn't I?

Took a few weeks of
we haven't got any x
did you put it on the list?
No
Well that's why then, put it on the list for next week

After a few weeks it stopped as I just shifted the blame back to whoever was moaning and they stopped blaming me. Few years later and I still have no moaning
