Cumberbum · 25/03/2016 10:54

Everywhere I look his face is there! I have a serious cumberbatch obsession and regularly ogle pics of him on tumblr etc, but now Tom hiddleston seems to be popping up everywhere! Am I the only person here that really doesn't fancy him??

BC is ok. Tom Hardy more than ok. Tom Hiddleston? No. Just, no. No strength or character to his face really, wouldn't stand out in a crowd of Mr Averages

RudeElf · 26/03/2016 01:23

"Mind you, I don't find Bumbercatch attractive either. Or Tom Hardy"

Shock

Wash out your filthy mouth!!

RudeElf · 26/03/2016 01:25

Yanbu though OP. Except for that weird comment about TH. I'll assume your hands were possessed when you typed it Wink

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 26/03/2016 03:55

I found High Rise disappointing and ridiculous...my date suggested that seeing Hiddleston naked might have been a saving grace

It was terrible wasn't it? The only thing that made it watchable was TH.

He was adorable in Only Lovers Left Alive. Well he is in most things (but especially in that) apart from Archipelago where he was a prat , which just shows he can act too.

CoraPirbright · 26/03/2016 06:58

YABU there is no such thing as "too much Tom Hiddleston"!

BC's voice makes me melt. Tom Hardy, on the other hand, leaves me cold - too short, bulky and with blubbery lips. Excellent actor though - loved him in Rock n Rolla.

SeaMagic · 26/03/2016 07:13

I agree and that he's never as attractive when he's not Loki.

I think TH and BC must have extremely good agents/PR management. They are in the press constantly and seem to be invited to everything, hence more column inches.

At least they both can act though. It used to be bloody wooden Keira Knightley who was the flavour in the month and I thought I would scream if I saw her jutting chin and scary teeth one more time.

Cumberbum · 26/03/2016 08:08

Definitely agree with you about keira knightly, she has a face I'd like to punch. Got only lovers left alive on planner to watch,on recommendation from a friend, but didn't realise TH was in it.

YABVU there will never be too much Tom Hiddleston for me. Much prefer him as Loki and with two DSs I will happily watch any film with Loki in as many times as they like. Dark hair and blue eye combo totally does it for me.

Benedict Cumberface leaves me cold I'm afraid so you can keep him and I'll have Loki Wink

RiverTam · 26/03/2016 08:28

Oh, I love Keira Knightley, she always looks like she'd be a right laugh down the pub.

Tom Hardy looks like a psychopath. A quite sexy psychopath but a psychopath all the same.

Cumberbum · 26/03/2016 08:56

I don't like marvel/superhero films at all- tried my best to watch iron man because of the delicious Robert Downey jnr but I was just bored- so I've had to Google Loki to see what you're all on about. OK, I'll put my hands up and admit he does look good there. Dark hair definitely much better still got weird mouth though. Is Loki a goody or a baddie?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 26/03/2016 09:05

Is Loki a goody or a baddie? A badly and the only interesting character

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 26/03/2016 09:05

A baddy

WhereYouLeftIt · 26/03/2016 10:31

He does seem to be everywhere right now. But I challenge you to watch of him with The Cookie Monster and not find him appealing!

OneTiredMama · 26/03/2016 12:01

Oh YABVU I was fully committed to Batch but like someone else said he was all over the place and it got annoying.

Wasn't fussed on Hiddles but after watching Night Manager I can't say I haven't caught myself in the odd MI5 Hiddleston in Majorca fantasy.

Cucumber is just weird, I can see Tom's appeal, but I think he is just another ' posh pretty boy' to be honest. ( I read somewhere ' he is so posh, he probably had burberry nappies' sums him up really!)
I prefer a bit rougher round the edges - Daniel mays someone like that. Jason Isaacs , when he was in the Kate Atkinson adaptation as Brody. yum.

RiverTam · 26/03/2016 15:12

Loki is a very bad boy indeed. Oh yes. A very naughty boy .

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 26/03/2016 15:14

Yanbu.

Ordinary bloke, nothing special.

OfaFrenchmind2 · 26/03/2016 15:44

He is the only baddie that made a true impression over all the (admitely good) marvel movies. (Ok, red skull was good too)
He is so popular they have to pace his cameo to avoid overshadowing some other characters :)
I think they may give him a antihero storyline, like Punisher (how I would love that!!)

GingerMerkin · 26/03/2016 15:47

Hugh Laurie has improved with age immensely, i would happily have. Shagfest with him. Tom could join in when the old boy got tired.

SansaryaAgain · 26/03/2016 16:10

DP's sister was at university with him and said he was "very charming", which is her way of saying "very arrogant"!

Cumberbum · 26/03/2016 17:50

boopsy how dare you! How can you say that about such a beautiful beautiful face??

OP posts:
ijustwannadance · 26/03/2016 17:56

I'm sick of Eddie Redmayne too.
Didn't mind tom as Loki but not in real life.

Tom Hardy on the the other hand should volunteer to be cloned so we can have one each.

mercifulTehlu · 30/03/2016 19:04

Yabvu. I have a long-standing Cumbercrush, but now seem to have a Hiddles one too. Love Loki, but love the expensive-suited Night Manager even more.

squoosh · 30/03/2016 23:51

There certainly are a lot of posh Brit actors around at the moment. Do we have latent forelock tugging syndrome that makes us want to surrender ourselves and our petticoats to the caddish Earl?

Even if Cucumberpatch threatened to have me slung on a convict ship I'd still be reluctant to hoike my skirts up for him. Hiddleston though? I could be persuaded.
