To not get residents parking scheme 9-5

Bristol. Anyone can park where I live all weekend. Just not 9-5 mon-fri.

9-5 Mon to Friday is when people are at work and was before/and after the scheme empty. If anything the hours should be reversed. Ami being fick or is it illogic?

Maybe they can only afford traffic wardens from 9-5 M-F?

I'd expect traffic wardens to be self funding judging by how many tickets get issued. If they cost, say £10ph, and tickets are worth £30, presumably issuing 3 a day will be enough?

I'm also in Bristol, zone CM :) The issue here has never really been the commuters but the people visiting bars & restaurants - a lot of which leave their cars over night (although I'm glad they're not drinking & driving!).

I don't think 9-5 is the best solution but the good part is limiting cars per household, we're in student central and it's better not having 6 cars per house.

We get 50 permits per year for free and they last for 3 or 4 years, I don't know if you are already but make sure to order more even if you don't use them.

I live in a street in London near a station with no controlled parking and it's a nightmare. People park here then go to the station and leave their cars there all day and residents can't park. There's also a small industrial estate and the workers park on our street. If I take my car out during the day, I won't get a space when I get back. Weekends are fine. I'd love a 9-5 resident's scheme like this.
