...to expect blackout blinds to keep the feckin' light out?!!!

We've got so-called "black out blinds" on all of DCs windows but they don't keep the bloody light out! Have previously resorted to sticking gro- blinds up as well as the fitted roller blinds (by gro company... They stick to the actual windows) but these are now giving up the ghost too and their suckers have gone. Also they're a faff when you want to open the tilty windows. Lighter mornings/evenings are going to cause problems with bedtimes and early rising little ones....Has anyone got any tips or recommendations?

We have a velux type blind in Ds room which blacks out everything. I have a roller blind which is blackout but obviously let's light in as it doesn't reach to the edges perfectly!

The problem is the brackets for black out blinds mean they sit too far away from the window. Major design flaw! I have black out curtains but light still leaks out the side and top of those as well

I made a frame (don't know how to get photo done to show you) from wide strips of cardboard , so window looks smaller than it it.and stuck it to the window frame, then light doesn't get through the outside edges with the blackouts curtains drawn.

I had the same problem. I bought twp sets of so called black out blinds and they did not work. Eventually I got some from Dunelm and they worked a treat. Try them you can get some good deals form there.
