aibu to be stressed out by my friend holiday planning?

Going away on a city break with friend, hoping for a chilled time and lots of fun. But my friend has decided we need to book restaurants for every meal time and sending me millions of texts about possible places to eat. Is that normal? I'd just like to rock up with my copy of the rough guide and explore, decide where to eat at the time....
Aibu to tell her to stop all the planning???

I am of the planning persuasion. But I'm a foodie and all my travel is actively planned around places/things I want to eat. But I do find there is nothing worse than wandering around aimlessly at mealtimes looking for somewhere decent. She sounds fussier than you but I would take advantage of the fact that she's probably putting in a lot of research and I'm sure you'll get to eat at lovely places.

I would hate this level of planning! But then I am not particularly fussed about finding the perfect restaurant and am happy with bread and cheese in the hotel/in a park. Surely having such a tight timetable will be limiting?

DH and I do some planning for our holidays but never to the extent of booking every meal out before we go.
We just prefer to look at the restaurants when we are there and then decide where we want to eat

Yes I see both sides. It's just making me stressed thinking about it... I'd like to have a couple of options, but also like to have free choice.,, i don't have time to do loads of research now, full time job, 3 kids!!! But I'd planned on reading my guidebook on the flight, maybe booking one special restaurant then chancing it, eating street food cafes etc..., she's also making a list of bars we need to go to
