to expect a snack at least

I'm babysitting for a good friend's little boy. Whenever I have her to babysit for my kids I always leave a few snacks out - nothing fancy but maybe a packet of crisps or some fruit, crackers, chocolate... anything really...

She has left me the teabags and that's it. I could rummage in the cupboards (actually I already have) but it feels a bit cheeky to just help myself when nothing has been said.

It's my Friday night after all!

I babysit for one friend regularly. I just raid the cupboard. Occasionally I eat something that belonged to one of the kids by accident and have to replace it.... Usually chocolate!

Maybe she just forgot? I say drink the wine.

You'd of thought she would of got you some snacks in has you do it for her.

When we have a babysitter (normally mother in law or my brother) I always bake something

My DH just said "it's time to and shit in the kettle" in response to your problem... Hmm Grin

Is wine irresponsible though?!

Just have a glass of the wine, if your worried about the wine.
Have you drunk alcohol when babysitting for her before? If she didn't mind then sure she'll be ok.
Next time you babysit take a bag of goodies

SanityAssassin · 11/03/2016 23:16

Why do you need snacks though?? surely you ate earlier knowing you were going to be out?

peckishbabysitter · 11/03/2016 23:29

I don't NEED snacks, obviously. I had some delicious leftover fish fingers before I came out. I just fancied something and thought it would have been a nice gesture to leave the biscuit tin lying around, or something!
