To ask what you give toddlers for breakfast

Ater reading the other thread about sending a child to school without breakfast and all the comments, I'm starting to think I must be a really bad parent.

My 2 and 3 year old eat either shop bought pancakes, cornflakes or scrambled eggs, beans and toast.

What do you give your kids?

My 19 month old loves porridge with fruit so we have that 3-4 x a week. The other times we have veggie omelette with baked beans, scrambled eggs and veg or some other egg variation. Once a week at the weekend I make fluffy pancakes with apple sauce, strawberries and a bit of nutella. Breakfast is easily his favourite meal and it is very rare that he won't eat it.

DS is 2.5 and they have a weetabix and full fat milk. Maybe bit of toast and jam as well or some banana.

Tried selection box and they didn't seem to like any of the rice crispies, coco pops, multigrain loops etc.

Usually give them cereal bars in the car as we don't have time to sit around the table like the middle classes.
Lattes from starbucks for a treat.

Mine is liking porridge at the moment. So she has that made with milk most of the time & a small amount of sugar/golden syrup. Other options are weetabix, Shreddies or toast. At the weekend she is allowed coco pops. All served with various fruits.

Our kids sat at the table with a bowl of cereal in their jim jams, we certainly weren't middle class for sitting round the table at breakfast (in fact I was normally stood at the sink or loading a wash at the same time).

Usually toast with butter/jam/marmite, sometimes stuff like brioche, crumpets or croissants for a change. They then have fruit or yogurt a couple of hours later for their morning snack. Cereal is enjoyed, but has to be picked up between finger and thumb and eaten piece by piece, so they'd be there all bloody day.
