to think that Adele says 'hello from the outside' on more than one occasion in her song?

I know that it's from the other side most of the time, but am I raving?

Heartbreak sells, she is just using what works! Good for her.

Vintage45 · 06/03/2016 01:16

Love her voice but agree her new stuff is repetitive depressing crap.

saraah2354 · 06/03/2016 01:31

It's funny how people assume it's about how ex. She's already said this is a song to her 16 year old self

KoalaDownUnder · 06/03/2016 02:10

She is painful. I can't listen to it. (Not that she gives a toss as clearly the rest of the world can...ad infinitum.)

And yes, deffo 'outside' and 'other side', both I wish I didn't know this

adreamworld · 06/03/2016 04:23

Yes, saraah, this is a song to her younger self, not to a bloke!

Jibberjabberjooo · 06/03/2016 06:52

She sings in an American accent, why? 'For breaking your hearrrrrrrt. It's worse on that other song.

Stratter5 · 06/03/2016 08:54

Marginally less painful than listening to her singing as Dick Van Dyke?

It's very stalkerish

I read that despite romantic (and therefore much more commercial) slant portrayed in the video, it was written to/about her estranged father. I believe he has had a cancer diagnosis and they have had the chance to restitch their realtionship somewhat now.

As a song about parent/child estrangment it makes perfect sense to me. But I have to listen to it with a , cos of the "I'm sorry" part.
