It's not even remotely funny unless you're drunk
I haven't laughed once and don't see what the fuss is about.

I love Ant & Dec in everything else, just not this.

IABU aren't I?

I will try once more with BGT. But Mandy Holden makes it very hard.

stealthkick · 06/03/2016 10:48

Isn't Dec married now? So the Ashleigh Roberts thing would be a bit weird?

MintyChapstick · 06/03/2016 10:52

I like Ant and Dec, but Ive always that SNT is a bit lame. Its just a massive rip off of Noel's House Party. They are at their best on Im a Celebrity IMO, passed the watershed where they can be a little bit more risque.

MrsJayy · 06/03/2016 10:54

Yeah if it wasnt for them i wouldnt watch im a celeb

MrsJayy · 06/03/2016 10:56

Wasnt him going out with Ashley a joke ?

NotMeNotYouNotAnyone · 06/03/2016 10:58

Yanbu

I like Ant and Dec but not this show. I have an occasional giggle but not worth sitting through the whole thing IMO

DameXanaduBramble · 06/03/2016 11:00

When will they understand that Eric & Ernie have been done, and to a far higher standard. It's all so fake.

MintyChapstick · 06/03/2016 11:01

Yes it was, because when Ashley was on IAC everyone started saying that Dec fancied her. He probably did, she is gorgeous (Ive seen her in real life) but now he's married and that gimmick obviously wont wash anymore.

I dont like Mulhern either, but ITV seem keen to push him forward as their next big star.

Personally I thought Kirsty Gallagher was the best host of Ant V's Dec.

TheHiphopopotamus · 06/03/2016 11:08

I've never really got on with SNT, it's always seemed a bit frantic and very scripted (which it is, I suppose Grin)

Ant and Dec were at their peak during the Saturday morning kids thing they used to do though (SMTV?). I would get up early to watch it, even though I was in my twenties and usually hungover Blush

IpreferToblerone · 06/03/2016 11:13

Poor. Am disappointed too. Especially the SC thingy. But I loved the James Corden set up 'late late show'. That. Was. Fabulous.

Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2016 11:17

Yes the show they did with Cat Deeley back on the day for children was good. Although nothing can beat Going Live with Phillip Schofield and Emma Forbes IMO.

Ah, good times! Wasn't the other main presenter with Pip Schofe Sarah Green though? (Sorry for derailing, OP)

Blacksquirrel · 06/03/2016 11:25

I agree OP. Used to love SNT but it's just not as funny this series. Last week with Gino Decamp (is that his name?) was very funny but the rest was dull Hmm

MrsJayy · 06/03/2016 11:29

Steohen mulhern has been the next big thing for 15 years Grin I loved smtv live it was so funny dd1 watched for the cartoons she would wander off and id still be watching it Blush

Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2016 11:32

I think there may have been a crossover. I remember Gordon the Gopher doing cookery with EF. Grin

ridemesideways · 06/03/2016 22:27

I read yesterday that Ant & Dec are being released from their 5 year ITV 'golden handshake' this year... So maybe the production team just aren't that into it anymore.

WonderingAspie · 06/03/2016 22:53

I love love love Ant and Dec and will continue to watch SNT but this series doesn't seem as good. I don't like the Who Shot Simon Cowell thing, that's a bit weird although I did laugh at bits. I love Stephen Mulhern and he is totally the top of The List so glad to see him on it, I like the chemistry with the 3 of them, love them on Britain's Got Talent and More Talent. I didn't like Ashley Roberts because I was jealous of her flirting with Dec but I met her when they did their Takeaway tour and she was so polite and nice I had to change my mind. I wish they did t have so many singers on it, Mel C sounded bloody awful last night! The Pac Man Ant vs Dec was good but the singing thing last night was a bit rubbish, they used to have them abseiling etc! Maybe Ant and Dec told them to tone it down as they always seemed quite horrified at some of the things they had to do. The end of the show show doesn't seem as good either, when they did Riverdance and stuff it was fantastic and I loved seeing what they would be doing next but this series it's all singers and the Little Mix one was awful.

TooMuchOfEverything · 06/03/2016 22:57

It's not something I'd chose to watch but the 11 year old wanted to. So I watched a bit with him ... Actually found myself laughing a lot at Nanna Barb and at Bear Grylls! Totally inane but if you don't expect much from it it is enjoyable iyswim.

foxessocks · 06/03/2016 23:09

I said to my dh when we watched it that the end of the show bit reminded me of morecambe and wise but not as good! Glad I'm not the only one.

We dip in and out of SNT. We watch sometimes but not religiously and it's the kind of programme you can chat while its on and not concentrate on. I do really like ant and Dec but do wonder if SNT at least might be coming to an end now. I'm sure they'll continue though but just need something new maybe.

I liked the karaoke last night though and nana barb.

TheSnowFairy · 06/03/2016 23:48

I don't like the Simon Cowell thing either.

But SNT is one of the few progammes that DH, DS1 (13), DS2 (11), DD (7) and I all watch together and enjoy so YABU from the Snow household.

DiscoGlitter · 07/03/2016 00:11

I didn't think I'd like the Simon Cowell thing either, as it seemed a bit naff to start with.
I'm into it now though, as I used to love the Two Ronnies when little and it reminds me of the whole "The Worm That Turned" saga.
They're this generation's version of all the old classics and that can only be a good thing!
I'm glad there's still entertainment out there that's suitable for both children and adults.
It's few and far between, but still there.
If you're an adult who disapproves of that kind of thing, then fair enough. Don't watch.

SouthWestmom · 20/03/2016 21:36

I just watched last night's. The guy that won the best seats thing came across quite awkward and it seemed like ant and Dec were imitating him ? It was really horrid. Anyone else see it and have a different perspective?
