To ask how for help in making me not smell!!! (Active nurse + Polyester uniform = total disaster)

I've just started my new job doing some very physically demanding nursing. They've provided me with an awful polyester uniform. I shower every morning, apply generous amounts of mitchem deodorant, and then put on a clean uniform every day.
My job is very labour intense and even though I'm not very sweaty I just get smelly so quickly. This doesn't happen in my normal clothes.
By midday I smell awful and I'm so self conscious of it. It's not even summer yet I'm terrified!!
What can I do...? Please give me all of your pearls of wisdom!!

This is a hack I picked up from a magazine. It works well for Dry Clean Only.

Dab the smelly area of the dry clothes with a cotton wool ball soaked in VODKA! The alcohol kills the bacteria and evaporates leaving no smell.
As you're a nurse you've probably got surgical spirits which would do the same job, but try a spot test first- I don't want to get the blame if it fries your polyester uniform Grin!

Perspirex solved my sporty teen's odour problem and now we all use it. One less thing to worry about because after a month you're just topping up the effect. It's expensive, though...

Disposable underarm pads - called nonchalante - stick on to your clothes and you can chuck them and replace with fresh during the day. Also stops sweat from showing.

Soak uniform in napisan. It kills the bacteria that smells. My friends a nurse and couldn't use regular soaps and gloves. She has alternatives. Is there any mileage in saying that the uniform is reacting badly to your skin? I'm really surprised you're not jn cotton.

Perspirex , other than that Sure maximum protection in the cream formula is far far far better than Mitchum who changed their formula and therefore doesn't work as well as it used to!

Please don't flame me for asking this, but

Is the uniform fairly tight on?
If it is, it may be worth asking them to give you the next size up.
If more air can circulate between your skin and the uniform it will create more ventilation and then less smell?

With cheap fabrics, it's best to go up a size.

Someone may have mentioned this but I use certain dri. You can get it on amazon. You apply it before going to sleep and it's fab. After the first week of applying it every night, I now only apply it every third night. I wear a similar uniform! No underarm sweat or smell now!

Are you washing with non bio?

When my friend accidentally bought bioml washing powder instead of the usual non bio he found that the residual smells on his clothes vanished. Well worth a try to change powder and washing temp first

How about trying a deodorant that is formulated for men, if that doesn't sound odd. They have different active ingredients and work loads better IME. I like Sure Sensitive for Men as it doesn't smell manly

I work as a surgeon so get very hot and have to do 24 hour shifts. I put napisan in every wash with biological washing powder. I actually find dove antiperspirant stick is very effective as well as being effective.
